Advancing the science of trauma-informed care, interpersonal violence prevention, and mental health equity.
MindShift Research Group is a dedicated clinical research division of Protect Each One Consulting, LLC — advancing the science of trauma-informed care, interpersonal violence prevention, and mental health equity through rigorous, community-centered inquiry. Led by Dr. Veronica Y. Griffin, Ph.D., MSW, LCSW, LICSW, LCSW-CPPT — CEO and clinical social work researcher.
MindShift Research Group exists to bridge the gap between clinical practice and evidence-based science. We conduct rigorous, community-centered research that informs best practices, influences policy, and advances equitable mental health outcomes for individuals and communities affected by trauma and interpersonal violence.
Investigating the efficacy and implementation of trauma-informed practices across clinical, organizational, and community settings.
Developing and evaluating evidence-based strategies to prevent and mitigate the impact of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other forms of interpersonal harm.
Examining factors that influence mental health disparities and promoting equitable access to effective, culturally responsive care for underserved populations.
Researching occupational hazards faced by caregivers, clinicians, and first responders — and developing interventions to support well-being and resilience.
Utilizing participatory action research approaches that empower communities in the research process and ensure real-world impact.
Studying the impact of trauma-informed organizational practices on workplace culture, employee well-being, and institutional equity.
At MindShift Research Group, we believe that robust, evidence-based research is the cornerstone of effective trauma-informed care and sustainable social change.
