As a covered entity under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), Protect Each One Consulting, LLC is required by law to maintain the privacy of your protected health information (PHI) and to provide you with this Notice of Privacy Practices.
You may request to see or receive a copy of your health record within 30 days. A reasonable fee may apply. Psychotherapy notes are excluded. (Va. Code § 32.1-127.1:03)

Virginia provides heightened confidentiality protections for mental health records beyond federal HIPAA requirements.
Individuals have a recognized right of privacy in the content of their health records under Virginia law.
Effective January 2023, the VCDPA provides broad consumer data privacy protections, including health data, for Virginia residents.
Licensed clinical social workers must inform clients of fees, billing arrangements, potential risks and benefits, and limitations on confidentiality before rendering services.
Licensed counselors must practice within competency boundaries, justify all services rendered, and maintain client confidentiality in accordance with board standards.
All communications, memoranda, work products, and materials related to mediation conducted through The Listening Table are strictly confidential under Virginia law. Confidential materials are not subject to disclosure in discovery or any judicial or administrative proceeding, except as provided by law (Va. Code § 8.01-581.22). Mediators are required to remain impartial and free from conflicts of interest (Va. Code § 8.01-581.24). Mediation services are available to Virginia residents only.
